Although amazing that a ship that size could go down. I think we may have seen that ship when we were on our Med cruise. Look at my Facebook page and you will see a Costa ship sailing past us at the Strait of Messina. I think it’s the same ship?
The pictures of that ship on it's side are amazing. The gash in the hull is huge. I hope you have a more competent captain and crew than that ship did. Prayers for the families of those who lost their lives.

So, I'm a little late getting onto the roll call, since I was on vacation myself when this first began. Had tons of laundry, mail etc. Cannot imagine being gone for more than maybe 2 weeks, much less 4 months!
ReplyDeleteWe had heard about the Costa Concordia while on our cruise last week. It was so sad to hear. Won't keep me from cruising again though! I did wonder if you are due into that same port in Italy at some point, and if they will likely divert you somehow to another port to avoid the area? Not sure how long it may take them to get the ship removed from that site? I had heard reports that they would likely need to take it out in pieces.
